-The best things you can do for your skin?-


Eat well. By well, I mean, try to eat as healthy and balanced as you can. It's fine to have treats in moderation though!

Exercise. Or at least improve your circulation somehow.

Get enough sleep. If you can clearly tell if someone didn't get enough rest, then imagine the stress it puts on the body. It's stressful!

Don't stress out.

Drink lots and lots of water. I can't say this enough. I can write a whole post about my wonderful experiences with water.

Don't smoke. Smoking will age you faster.

Protect your skin from the sun. You don't need to avoid it, but use SPF if you're going to be exposed. Too much sun also damages the skin.

Don't drink too much alcohol. Drinking in moderation is fine, but binge drinking stresses the body out, and thus your skin.

Wash your face thoroughly before you sleep. It goes without saying that you'll clog pores and damage your skin. Pimples suck too, and can scar and leave discolorations that last for months.

Don't go overboard on products or cleansing though! Too much is damaging. You don't need to exfoliate every day or use intensive masks every day because you can run the risk of doing permanent damage. I'm also going to put using harsh products here as well, unless you know how to use it and it's meant for the face.

Know when to get professional help. Sometimes, you just need a facial or a dermatologist. After I went to the dermatologist, my skin did eventually get better, although it wasn't as nice as it is now. If you can afford it, it really is worth every penny!
